Manatee Memorial Hospital hosted a groundbreaking ceremony on June 17, 2022, to celebrate the construction of a new freestanding emergency department – the ER at Bayshore Gardens. The new ER will expand access to emergency care 24-hours a day, seven days a week in Manatee County, and will be located at 5506 14th Street West, Bradenton, Florida, 34207. The new facility is expected to open in Q1 of 2023.
The groundbreaking provided attendees and media the opportunity to hear from Manatee Memorial Hospital’s leadership team, including Tom McDougal, Chief Executive Officer; Kevin DiLallo, Group Vice President – Florida, Universal Health Services; and Hugh Miller, Chairman of the Board of Governors.
“We are honored to be expanding in Manatee County with the second freestanding emergency room for Manatee Memorial Hospital," stated McDougal. "By expanding our emergency services, we can better meet the needs of our growing communities and provide access to emergency care where it is needed. No matter what the emergency, the new ER at Bayshore Gardens will be equipped to handle everything from minor conditions to stabilizing treatment for major conditions such as heart attack and stroke."
